White Peach and Blueberry Desert
It is almost impossible to improve on the white peaches of Provence. Peaches grow especially sweet and flavorsome in the sunny dry climate of Provence.
This recipe, as simple as it sounds, makes a surprisingly elegant desert for guests in a very short time.
- 5 ripe white peaches (or whatever peaches are available to you)
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 tblsp rose syrup
- Combine all ingredients and chill for half an hour.
- I serve this with Greek yogurt because there is already enough sweetness in the syrup.
Rose syrup is available from specialty stores. If you can’t find it, just mix equal parts water and sugar, then add 1 or 2 drops of confectionery Rose essence.
